Blaze is a competitive club field hockey program designed for young athletes in the U12 and U14 age groups who are looking to develop their skills in a fun, supportive, and high-level environment.

While Blaze is based in Billerica, the program is open to players from all surrounding towns and leagues. Girls from across the region are encouraged to try out and participate, creating a diverse and competitive team environment.

Practices are held at a private home field in Billerica as well as at the Tyngsborough Sports Center. Players benefit from experienced coaching, led by current Division 1 athletes from UMass Lowell, who bring advanced knowledge of the game and a passion for developing young players.

The Blaze club season runs from January through June. During this time, athletes participate in two practices per month along with various tournaments, giving them opportunities to apply their skills in competitive settings.

Tryouts for the club team are held each November, and roster spots are limited to ensure focused coaching and development.

In addition to the main club team, Blaze offers a Training Squad program. This option allows players to practice alongside the Blaze team, improving their skills and gaining exposure to the club environment. Training Squad players may also have the opportunity to be invited to compete in tournaments with the team based on their development and performance.

Blaze is ideal for players who are eager to grow their game, build confidence, and experience competitive field hockey in a positive and encouraging atmosphere. Check back in November 2026 for details for the 2027 season!
